Cleaning the drinkers

When a drinker is dripping constantly (more than one drop every two minutes): If none of these steps work and it is happening to a number of drinkers, then send a sample in for testing.

Some common causes of leaking:

Sticky substance on Stainless Steel Ball Medication or other substance. Comes from not flushing properly after vaccinating or medicating.
Pitted Stainless Steel Balls Rust
Stuck or gritty flowpin Certain medications used without flushing or sand in water.
Gray Stainless Steel Balls Too much Citric Acid used or left in too long.
Pieces of plastic in drinker/broken flowpin Could be from high concentrations of chlorine or iodine.
